Amy DeLap and Andrew Jendrzejewski

In Fragments and Discoveries, DeLap continues two approaches to her gridded collages, which she views as conversations between shapes, colors, textures, or an overall presence, as in nonobjective self-portraits. Jendrzejewski’s photographs of chance observations that caught his attention with associations or personal significance offer a clue to his box pieces, which present objects that remind him of his early childhood experiences and family members. These associations are elaborated upon with his writing on each box.
