1-2-3 1st Friday Main St Gallery Walk
Within three blocks in Vincennes, IN, three art galleries, with three different kinds of things, for you to see tonight, May 2, 2014! A wonderful variety of things to see! All the galleries are offering light refreshments, wine and non-alcoholic beverages, the chance to meet new and old friends and a great excuse to enjoy the warmer weather, and it is all free.
1. Art Space Vincennes, 521 Main Street
…continues with Sacred Spaces, Paintings by Nancy Newman Rice, a mystical experience with geometry, light, color and time ranging from representational canvases to abstract panels and a video. Open from 12-8 pm. Refreshments served 5 -8 pm. Parking and wheel chair access in back.
2. Open Gallery, 329 Main Street
… opens with Find In the Box, an invitational exhibit of graphic design created by Vincennes University’s Graphic Design (Transfer). Reception 4 – 6 pm. Street parking and lot between Main and Vigo streets.
3. Northwest Territory Art Guild, 316B Main Street
… is holding a gallery event Friday, May 2nd featuring the Vincennes historical collection of Norbert Brown and a collection of paintings by Red Skelton from the Skelton Museum’s collection in the rotating gallery space. Guild members works will be on sale in the rear gallery. Reception 4-8. Street parking and lot between Main and Vigo streets.
